Global Talent Visa (GTI) - SC858

The Global Talent visa is a permanent visa tailored for individuals who possess an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in an eligible field. This visa is designed to attract the brightest and most exceptional global talent, offering two distinct pathways:

  1. Global Talent Pathway

The Global Talent pathway prioritises highly skilled applicants who have:

  • An internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievements within sectors defined by the Minister

  • Current or potential earnings at or above the Fair Work High Income Threshold

Prior to applying for the Global Talent pathway, candidates are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to meet the priority processing criteria. Successful applicants will receive a unique reference and identifier for use in their Global Talent (Subclass 858) visa application.

For more details on the Global Talent pathway, including EOI requirements and submission procedures, visit the EOI requirements page.

The Distinguished Talent pathway is aimed at exceptionally talented individuals with internationally recognised achievements in professions, sports, the arts, or academia and research. An Expression of Interest is not necessary for this pathway.
